After graduating from Lynbrook High School in June 1974, Steve attended
Pace University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Certified
Public Accounting in May, 1978. Subsequent to that, Steve continued his studies and received
a Master of Science degree in October 1982.
Steve began his career working in Public Accounting from May 1978 until shortly before taking
a position as a Finance Coordinator in Member Firm Regulation at The New York Stock Exchange
in June 1984. During his tenure at the NYSE, Steve became an Adjunct Professor of Accounting
at Long Island University and also was a Series 7 Registered Representative at Paine Webber
(now UBS).
In February 1991, Steve was laid off from the NYSE due to the economic recession that was
plaguing this country. He ultimately found employment as a High School Mathematics teacher
for the Department of Education of The City of New York. He remained in this position until
he retired with a full pension in 2015.
After his retirement, Steve has been employed by Hunter College and St. John's University
as an undergraduate Adjunct Professor of Mathematics and Fieldwork Supervisor in the
Graduate School of Education of both schools.
Having a very strong interest in returning to the Financial Services sector, Steve received
his Series 65 license as an Investment Advisor on July 10, 2023. He has lived with
his wife, Teri, in Forest Hills, New York for the past 40 years. Together, they have one son,
Robert, who is now approaching his 37th birthday this November.
